The UK and Viet Nam convene strategic conference on Financial Market Infrastructure to support Viet Nam’s International Financial Centre roadmap.
Ho Chi Minh City, 25 March 2026 – The British Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City, the British Chamber of Commerce Viet Nam (BritCham), and Dragon Capital are pleased to announce the UK – Viet Nam Open Conference on the International Financial Centre (IFC) 2026: Financial Market Infrastructure. This event marks an important milestone in the ongoing strategic partnership to enhance Viet Nam’s global financial competitiveness.
Since the International Financial Centre (IFC) was officially launched on 19 December 2025, Ho Chi Minh City has been accelerating its progress towards establishing itself as a regional and international financial hub. Throughout this journey, the British Consulate-General and BritCham Viet Nam have provided specialised support and strategic engagement. A notable milestone was the conference held in September 2025, which featured the Loseby Lecture on Common Law, a critical legal foundation that enables global financial centres to operate effectively.
Following that success, this year’s conference brings together more than 100 senior delegates, including government officials, financial regulators, industry leaders, and international legal experts to exchange practical insights and global best practices for building a robust, internationally aligned financial ecosystem in Viet Nam.
The agenda brings together distinguished international speakers and prominent Vietnamese figures, including:
Strategic focus areas: Commodity Derivatives Exchange (Exploring international market practices and institutional perspectives to diversify Viet Nam’s financial instruments); Financial Supervision and Regulatory Capacity (Strengthening the oversight frameworks necessary to maintain market integrity and investor confidence); and Legal Frameworks (Aligning Viet Nam’s legal landscape with international standards to attract global capital).

Tiếp nối thành công đó, hội thảo mở năm nay quy tụ hơn 100 đại biểu cấp cao, bao gồm đại diện các cơ quan nhà nước, cơ quan quản lý tài chính, các nhà lãnh đạo ngành và chuyên gia pháp lý quốc tế nhằm trao đổi các giải pháp thực tiễn và thông lệ quốc tế tốt để xây dựng một hệ sinh thái tài chính vững mạnh, tiệm cận chuẩn mực quốc tế tại Việt Nam. Chương trình nghị sự có sự góp mặt của các diễn giả quốc tế uy tín cùng với đại diện Bộ Công thương Việt Nam, bao gồm:
