![]() Vietnam Economic News Insight & Recap – February 2026 Vietnam’s economy in early 2026 presents a mixed yet resilient outlook. Manufacturing continues to expand, with PMI reaching a four-month high, while trade remains strong despite a modest deficit driven by faster import growth. FDI trends are uneven: new commitments decline, but disbursements hit a five-year high, signalling sustained confidence from existing investors. Rising fuel prices are increasing cost pressures across key sectors. Meanwhile, the government is advancing regulatory reforms, infrastructure investment, and plans for a national AI fund to support long-term growth. Overall, Vietnam faces a more uncertain global environment, requiring careful policy coordination to maintain momentum and investor confidence. |
