We are proud to share that Team Mercury, a group of Year 13 students from the British International School Ho Chi Minh City (BIS HCMC), will represent Vietnam at the STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore from 25 September – 5 October 2025.
STEM Racing (formerly F1 in Schools) is a global not-for-profit STEAM competition endorsed by Formula 1, where students design, test and race miniature F1 cars down a 20-metre track. Beyond engineering, participants gain valuable experience in project and budget management, sustainability, and marketing.
Team Mercury stands out not only for their technical achievement – with a car ranked in the top 10–15% worldwide – but also as BIS HCMC’s first female-majority team, helping to promote greater gender balance in STEM. The team has also earned strong sponsorship support from leading local and multinational companies.
We wish Team Mercury every success as they carry forward BIS HCMC’s proud tradition of representing Vietnam on the world stage. If you would like to support Team Mercury, please donate or contact the team at mercuryf1.vn@gmail.com.
