BRITCHAM CHAIRS ANNUAL VIETNAM BUSINESS FORUM

Today, on the 19th of March 2024, BritCham had the honor of co-chairing the annual Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) alongside the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The forum was themed “FDI Enterprises Pioneer in implementing green growth strategies”.

 

This significant conference, co-organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, and VBF’s management board, featured three main sessions dedicated to Business Climate, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and High-tech & Digitalization. It witnessed a remarkable turnout, with delegates from the government, embassies, associations, private businesses, and policy experts actively participating.

Mr.Nitin Kapoor, Co-Chairman of VBF, hailed this event as a pivotal moment showcasing the determination of businesses in Vietnam and urging solidarity in nurturing our planet and achieving sustainable growth goals for the future.

The forum heard presentations from various foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting with BritCham represented by Mr. Denzel Eades, BritCham’s Vice Chairman. In the speech, BritCham assessed the vast potential and collaboration opportunities within the Vietnamese market while offering recommendations to the government for further enhancing the investment and business environment. The attendance and important directives from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh underscored the government’s keen interest in the broader business community and FDI enterprises in particular. This exemplified commitment to support and collaborate closely with businesses, echoing the government’s steadfast dedication.
