Conversations around carbon neutrality - with a focus on becoming ‘net-zero’ - have been circulating in recent years, promising businesses a solution to combat climate issues.The concept of carbon neutrality was first strengthened by the Paris Agreement in 2015, whose main goal was to limit global warming and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 2019, Britain became the first G7 country to pass net-zero emission laws, urging leaders worldwide to follow suit. As technological progress further advances and the cost of renewable energy has declined over the years, going green is no longer seen as a trade-off for economic growth, especially in Asian booming economies.
