MEET THE NEW AMBASSADOR: IAIN FREW
BritCham is very honoured to welcome the new Ambassador to Vietnam, Iain Frew and give our members this opportunity to join this event at the British Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City.
Iain is a career diplomat who joined the UK Foreign Office in 2005, serving his first posting in Moscow in the Political section. From 2011-2017 he worked on EU affairs serving in Brussels and London with a period as Head of Mission in Latvia. From 2018 he served as Prosperity Counsellor, later Deputy Head of Mission in the British Embassy in Brasilia, overseeing the UK’s partnership with Brazil on economic reform and sustainable development. Iain graduated in History and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He speaks Portuguese, Russian and Vietnamese.
