Call for comments on the Draft Decree replacing Decree 152

    Dear members,
    As you may be aware, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) has recently released the Draft Decree replacing Decree 152/2020/ND-CP of the Government regulates foreign workers working in Vietnam and recruitment and management of Vietnamese workers working for foreign organisations and individuals in Vietnam, as amended by Decree 70/2023/ND-CP.
    We hereby enclose Draft Decree Relacing Decree 152, together with the Draft Report, Explanatory Note, and supporting documents: (1) (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7) for your review and further feedback
    Should you wish to provide comments on this important Draft, please kindly send them to duyen.nguyen@britchamvn.com using the template below, preferable in Vietnamese by Monday, 19th May 2025 for our consolidation and submission.

    Additionally, the Vietnam Business Forum Secretariat (VBF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance (MOF), is organising a seminar to address challenges related to work permits and visa issues for foreigners. The session is intended for members and will feature participation from key Government Agencies, including the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST), and the MOF.
    The seminar is tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday or Thursday at MOF.
    Ahead of the meeting, we are collecting inputs from members on current issues surrounding work permits and visas, including feedback on the draft Decree regulating foreign workers in Vietnam (please see attached the draft Decree for your reference):
    Should you have any inputs on the above topics, please kindly send them by COB Friday, 9th May for consolidation and submission to the authorities in preparation for a productive discussion.
