In response to MOLISA’s Draft Decree 152 concerning the employment of foreign workers in Vietnam and the management of Vietnamese workers working for foreign employers within the country, BritCham has submitted comments to Prime Minister and relevant state agencies.
The key points highlighted in the draft include the removal of the degree requirement for work permits, the acceptance of previous experience as evidence for work permits or exemption certificates, and the process for changing work locations for foreign workers employed in multiple provinces. Additionally, the draft outlines conditions for intra-corporation transfers, specifying eligibility for managers, executives, and experts, and sets requirements for job title approval for local hires, mandating the reporting of recruitment procedures and results on public portals prior to applying for job titles for foreigners in that position.
