BritCham Submits Comments on Draft Disease Prevention Law

Responding to concerns raised by industry members, including Diageo and Pernod Ricard, BritCham’s comments focus on the proposed establishment of a Disease Prevention Fund, which could mandate financial contributions from producers and importers of products deemed harmful to health, such as alcohol. BritCham’s submission highlights the potential cost burden this fund would impose—especially in light of the upcoming Special Consumption Tax increase—and supports the industry’s call for careful consideration of its economic impact.

BritCham Submits Comments on Draft Education Law

The submission highlights key issues, including investment requirements for establishing private schools and the need for clear mechanisms to ensure effective quality assurance and accreditation. BritCham’s recommendations seek to align the draft with international best practices, provide clarity for existing institutions, and support the continued development of Vietnam’s education sector.
