The Vietnamese Government has recently issued Decree No. 70/2023/ND-CP, which came into effect on September 18, 2023, and introduces modifications to the existing rules governing foreign workers in the country. Some noteworthy highlights of these changes include a significant relaxation of conditions for obtaining work permits or work permit exemption certificates, notable alterations in the application process, adjustments in the authority responsible for foreign labour management, and changes in reporting requirements.
