On Wednesday, 10 January 2024, Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) organised a meeting with relevant Government authorities to discuss about the bankability for energy projects. This matter is one of the significant challenges facing the sector and requires coordination across multiple authorities to address legal and policy barriers, helping to ensure the feasibility of
large-scale investment in energy projects. This will then enhance the ability to access private investment, including foreign investment, in these projects.
The event, well-attended by BritCham members, provided a platform for discussions with the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) regarding existing obstacles and proposed solutions.
