On the 4th of February 2021, BritCham Vietnam’s Executive Director Brian Bulloch and Deputy Director Doan Lieu An visited AstraZeneca Vietnam’s renovated office in Ho Chi Minh City on the invitation of Mr. Nitin Kapoor, Chairman and General Director of AstraZeneca Vietnam.
The two were greeted with warm welcome and an office tour to learn more about AstraZeneca’s business and operations in Vietnam.
The British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam and AstraZeneca Vietnam agreed to boost collaboration in the near future, especially in the context of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health’s recent approval of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. It is reported that Vietnam has successfully secured 30 million Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine doses to be delivered in the first six months of 2021, while securing an additional 4.9 million doses through COVAX.
BritCham Vietnam looks forward to working closely with AstraZeneca Vietnam and other pharmaceutical companies to help Vietnam combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
